A NEW ERA

A New Identity, A Stronger Community

Our New Model

With over 65 years of history of rugby in the local area, we take this opportunity to
rejuvenate our club, adapting our approach to our sport, creating new foundations for
the next 65 years.

We have already decided to become an “occasional” club for the foreseeable future, playing a reduce schedule of Saturday matches in the coming seasons, dates to be
announced shortly.

To recruit new players and encourage our whole membership base to participate in
rugby we are launching inclusive weekly walking & touch rugby sessions, Saturday
mornings, 10:00am until 12:00pm, at Elmbridge Ave, Berrylands.

We are hoping that with an increased presence in the local community and an unique
offering introducing sport we can establish ourselves the place for rugby in Surbiton.

ADULT MALE 15-A-SIDE

We will be playing 4 Adult Male full-XV fixtures in 2024/25, as we look to rebuild. Fancy a run out? Get in touch!

WALKING RUGBY

Walking Rugby is perfect for older adults, those recovering from injury, or anyone looking for a low-impact way to stay active and engaged.

TOUCH RUGBY

Touch Rugby is an exciting variation of rugby that’s suitable for all ages and skill levels, providing a dynamic and fun way to stay active.

Rebranding

Our new name, Surbiton Decca RFC, provides an immediate geographical identity, making us easier to find when talking to prospective players, members etc. Highlighting our location and maintaining links to our proud history.

Our refreshed visual identity symbolizes the spirit and heritage of our club.

The tree and sunrise representing the Surbiton coat of arms.

The lightning bolts from our Racal Decca RFC logo and now a circular logo representing our Decca Records history.

And our hoops representing our shirt colours (our club colours will remain the same).
