We’re delighted to confirm that Surbiton Town Sports Club will become the home base of Surbiton Decca RFC going forward.
While our home matches will continue to be played just around the corner at Kingston University Sports Ground in Tolworth, Surbiton Town Sports Club will become the place we head back to after games, meet socially and spend more time together away from the pitch.
Since we first started using the club, we’ve been welcomed in with open arms and it already feels like a natural fit for Decca.
It’s a fantastic facility with plenty going on throughout the year, including pub quizzes, comedy nights, pool and snooker, as well as a children’s play area that makes it a great place for members and their families. There are plenty of screens showing live sport too, so it’ll also become our place to get together and watch the big rugby matches.
And, importantly, the pints are very reasonably priced! 🍻
We’ll be using Surbiton Town Sports Club for post-match socials, club events, rugby watch-alongs and plenty more, and we’re really looking forward to making it a proper home for the social side of Surbiton Decca RFC.
For a club built around rugby that fits around life, having somewhere local, welcoming and accessible where members can spend time together is a huge step forward.
We’re excited about what this new relationship can bring and look forward to seeing plenty of Decca faces down there over the coming season.
